Grateful to share a compelling clinical case from Ecuador, showcasing the power of Kylin™ Flow Diverter in complex intracranial aneurysm management.
A 55-year-old female patient was incidentally diagnosed with two wide-neck aneurysms located in the communicating segment of the left internal carotid artery (ICA). While neurologically intact, the diagnosis caused significant psychological burden for the patient.
In a single, streamlined neurointerventional procedure, the skilled physician team—Dr. Diego Páez Granda, Dr. Reinaldo Páez, and Dr. Fernando Riera, utilized the Kylin™ Flow Diverter to address both aneurysms simultaneously. The procedure achieved complete, effective vessel reconstruction and hemodynamic flow modification.
This case serves as a powerful example of how flow diversion technology enables clinicians to tackle multiple complex aneurysms within the same vascular segment, even in challenging tortuous anatomy. It validates the clinical utility of the Kylin™ Flow Diverter in managing complex intracranial aneurysms, minimizing procedural burden while maximizing patient safety and clinical efficacy.
A sincere thank you to the exceptional physician team in Ecuador for their expertise and collaboration in advancing complex aneurysm care.
